The worst list is in the can, so now it's time to talk about the commercials that might actually be worth watching one more time. Try to resist the urge to run out and buy all these products until you get to the end of the list.
1. Doritos "Mouse trap"
Doritos more than made up for their boring music commercial with this one, which got a genuine laugh out of me. I don't want to give it away in case you haven't seen it, so just watch it already.
2. Coke, "Parade balloons"
Sometimes the advantage of having an ad budget that rivals the GNP of many small countries pays off. This Coke joint wasn't the funniest in the bunch but I found myself watching it more than once, anyway.
3. Victoria's Secret, "Game over"
In a Super Bowl year that was void of really hot chicks, this ad was a refreshing change of pace. It just goes to show you that less is more, especially when it comes to clothing.
4. Bud Light, "Fire breath"
My favorite beer super power is the ability to smooth talk any girl in the bar, regardless of her relationship situation. Of course fire breath would be fine, too.
5. Dell, "Exploding computers"
Having dealt with Dell tech support in the past, I have to admit that it was pretty satisfying watching a bunch of them explode in slow motion.
6. Ford, "Swinging a truck by its tow loops"
I'm a sucker for these torture test spots, and while I'm not sure it's real, the idea of swinging a full-sized truck around by its tow loops gets my nerd juices flowing.
7. Fed Ex, "Carrier pidgeons"
Living in New York I've learned to hate pidgeons. But if they were huge and destroyed everything in sight, I would like them a lot better.
8. Tide to Go, "The Talking Stain"
I know it's kind of childish, but yelling is always funny to me.
9. Taco Bell, "Fiesta Platter"
We're getting to the dregs here, but this one had its moments. My personal favorite moment is the close up on the tacos.
10. Bridgestone, "Yelling animals"
I said it before and I'll say it again: Yelling is always funny.
