THE LOWDOWN
The first thing you notice when you meet this tall stalk of gorgeous is her huge, open smile that makes you want to sit down and pour your life out to her. And that´d be fine with Ella. "Some people get the wrong idea when they see me, but I´m a good, decent person," she says. "And Montanans are just friendly."
Ella grew up in a town so small it didn´t even warrant a stop sign. "The post office was hooked onto my house, and you had to drive 35 miles to get a gallon of milk, so learning to get along with people made perfect sense," she says.
Of course, she had an itch to see the world, visiting Denver, Lake Tahoe, and Vegas…plus the time she went to the Bahamas with a guy she´d only been dating for a month.
Seven years ago Ella made her break from small-town living and headed to Billings for cosmetology school. "There are maybe 300,000 here," she explains. "It´s as much of a city as Montana can have." Her determination paid off, and she´s now owner of the area´s first airbrush tanning salon.
