I'm a web editor, so the first thing I did upon arriving in Moscow was steal all of the fruit from the Ritz-Carlton concierge desk. But after that, I cracked open my laptop and set up e-camp in my room. After inadvertently pounding the K button off in frustration at our IT department's idea of a fully-loaded, international business machine (hey, at least it's a licensed copy of notepad), I noticed how advertising on a site like Yahoo! Mail changes based on geographics. Here in the U.S., we get banners advertising their brides. In Russia, they get banners advertising our lives.

green_card_animation.gifAre there not enough unemployed people here that we have to insource more of them? Thing is, Moscow was f&%@ing awesome, so there can't be many takers. Still, it's nice to see Yakov Smirnoff's dream is still alive.
