In celebration of Converse’s centennial anniversary—remember the campaign that featured Santogold, Pharell, and Julian Casablancas' “My Drive Through” song?—the company also had Lupe Fiasco craft his own pair of shiny new Chucks. Well, it appears that the rapper isn’t quite done designing sneakers: He’s gone and fashioned another pair, this time for Greedy Genius. A coolly original experiment in texure or an off-putting travesty of weaving? Perhaps a random look back at a few other hip-hop-endorsed kicks (from more recent memory) will help you decide. Note Jay-Z is exempt from this competition due to the sheer volume of his shoe collection.
