The trio of young females pictured above are Joann Jung, Amy Kim and Jennifer Hewlett and they're responsible for designing Lincoln's new luxury concept, the MKT. The car itself is pretty awesome, sporting all sorts of comfort features in the cabin like non-directional vents that won't dry out your eyeballs on long drives, super-soft, environmentally-friendly leather and just the right amount of chrome to make you look classy, not cheesy. The navigation system was what really caught my eye though, with all of its curvy, touchscreen sexiness. I got a chance to talk to the ladies yesterday morning while checking out the car and it's amazing how much thought they put into this thing. Every piece of upcycled glass and wood paneling is done purposely with the intention of making our lazy butts comfortable on the road. They've also made the thing much lighter than other cars in its class so it gets better gas mileage and more speed. I would definitely drive it. Of course it's just a concept and on an Internet guy's salary I would probably need to win the lottery before I could buy one, but it's nice to dream.
Some of the future-tech from the MKT will actually be available on the 2009 MKS, which totally beats the pants off of the '83 POS you're currently puttering around in.
