The skinny: Sony's Alpha A100 gets the boot for a smaller, sexier model. Sort of like when an old man hits the lottery.

5 things you should know about it:

  • 10.2 megapixel sensor
  • Internal image stablizer, just like its older brother
  • 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCDTM screen
  • Autofocus time reduced by 1.7x for catching quick nipple slips
  • The kit, which comes with a 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 3.9x zoom lens will cost $700
  • Final thought: I'm hoping to check it out on the show floor soon, but if it performs as well as it sounds like it should, it could be a real competitor for Canon and Nikon's entry-level DSLRs. It could also encourage more talentless douches to start calling themselves photographers because they have $700 and a Flickr page.
