The Skinny:
Iomega saves some time and hassle with this gaming-console specific hard drive. Just pop all your movies, music, photos, donkey-show-clips onto this from your computer, plug it into your Xbox 360 or PS3 and you're in business.

The Good: There's a ton of good here. First off, it gives you a reason to back-up and consolidate all your media. Next, by plugging in the USBs it's immediately recognized on the Xbox Live Dashboard (media blade) or the PS3 menus…if that's what they're calling it. So easy even a 30-year-old could do it.

Convert movies: No, not to Christianity, but to formats that play on your console. We had a few issues when it came to downloading and using the software but that's because we're dumb. Since you're smarter all you have to do is download the Prism Video Conversion MX from the Iomega site (http://www.iomega.com/mediaxporter/) and this software should automatically give you the correct transfer options should your system not have the ability to play movies you've stolen from other people.

The Bad: There isn't really any bad here. It's an external hard drive. Even though it's meant to add space to your Xbox 360 or PS3, you don't have to use it for that. So, worse comes to worse, you have an extra 160GB of space.

The Verdict: We dig it. It's portable, looks really cool (black with a nice camo-like strip up the center) and it works. That's all we require. Since there are so many worthless third-party console add-ons (we're looking at you, Nyko) it's awesome Iomega made something we'll actually use.
