Midway sent us a little present today: new screenshots of their upcoming fighting mash-up Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. It looks like the spandex-clad characters are pretty much true to their graphic novel forms, with Superman showing off his new Optic Blast-like heat vision and tornado spinning thing. Oh, and the battle settings include the Batcave, Metropolis, a Gotham City rooftop, and, yes, Hell itself.
Finally, also announced is a Comic-con Q&A panel with MK co-creator Ed Boon and comic artist Jimmy Palmiotti where additional game details (i.e. more characters and settings) and new gameplay videos will be unveiled. Hit the jump for the press release and all of the new screenshots.
