6. Derek Bell
Bell threatened to go into "Operation Shut Down" if he wasn´t automatically anointed the starting right fielder ahead of his Pirates teammates in 2002 after hitting .173 in 2001. The Pirates cut him days later, and "Operation Shut Down" remains in effect still today: Bell has never played in another MLB game.
