
Interactive Designer
Maxim magazine is looking for an Interactive Designer to join its creative services team to develop and refine concepts for the creation of mini-sites, email blasts, standard and rich-media ad units, and online solutions to support advertiser and editorial programs. The person for this position must have a strong sense of overall design (color theory/usage, layout and composition, form and function, etc.) and an in-depth knowledge of branding, visual communication and information architecture, as well as an understanding of the latest trends in usability and user-focused design principles.
You'll work closely with the Marketing, Editorial and Development teams on all phases of production, and should be able to communicate well with other members of the team, including an art director.
We're looking only for experienced designers.
Required Qualification/Skills:
·Minimum 3 years experience in interactive design
·Strong understanding of graphic design, layout and typography
·Strong conceptual development skills, strong layout ability, and basic illustration skills
·Proficiency creating web site design comps
·Experience working in Flash and action scripting a must
·Must have a firm understanding of information architecture and user interface design
·Ability to adhere to design and branding standards as well as marketing goals in the execution of design concepts
Software/Language Requirements:
·Proficiency in all major interactive design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash)
·Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript
