The All-New Mazda3 Is a Next-Gen Pocket Rocket

Leave it to Mazda to make a hatchback we’re actually psyched for.

Last night, we took a break from our normal Wednesday evening routine of charades, white wine spritzers, and Hot Pockets to attend the unveiling of a brand-new Mazda. See, we’re huge fans of the brand, from theRX-7 we admired in elementary school to the Miata we got to borrow once in college (thanks, Adam!) to the2014 Mazda 6 we recently spent a weekend with. As we arrived at the party, held in a giant warehouse in Chelsea (there was even a pretty cool band playing), there it was: the all-new 2014 Mazda3. Now, the existing model is one of the most fun “hot hatches” around, so you can understand how excited we were to learn about all the improvements Mazda has made. Besides a more modern and sporty overall look, the new model is lower and leaner, has an all-new heads-up display, and comes standard with a ton of electronic safety aids. So check out these pics, and then start thinking about parking this pocket rocket in your driveway.
