If A Car Can Be The New Pope, We Nominate This Lamborghini

Say “ciao” to the Veneno, the fastest, sexiest, most badass Lamborghini ever made.

Say “ciao” to the Veneno, the fastest, sexiest, most badass Lamborghini ever made.

Like every red-blooded American, we had a poster of a LamborghiniCountachin our childhood bedroom. We rewound the opening credits of Cannonball Runso many times, our VCR got busted. It’s little surprise, then, that every time a new Lambo is introduced to the world, we’re reduced to drooling 11-year-olds versions of ourselves. And when it’s the fastest, most exclusive Lambo ever made, well, we pretty much spend the entire day crying tears of joy. Debuting right now at the Geneva Auto Show, the Lamborghini Veneno has 750 horses, goes over 220 miles per hour, and is beyond exclusive. (Right now, the Italian automaker’s plan is to sell three of them. Yes, three.) The name of the car, which means “poison” in Spanish, originates from a famous fighting bull who, according to Lamborghini, “became popular in 1914, when he gored to death José Sánchez Rodríguez during the bullfight in the arena Sanlúcar de Barrameda’s.” In other words, this prancing bull is deadly.
