New Season, New Look

So summer's over, so what? It's not the end of the world, just the end of a season. There are plenty of things you can carry over from summer besides those regrettable Facebook pictures. Keep these four things on tap to transition your wardrobe from hot summer to cool fall.

V-neck t-shirts:
Unless they are filthy with your nasty summer sweat stains (in that case, use this cue to buy some new ones) these are great for under cardigans or lightweight jackets, and for the Indian summer days, you can slip right back into dreams of summer.  $50, James Perse, jamesperse.com

Summer shoes: They work with flat front pants and a light sweater, so you don’t look like the idiot wearing winter boots in September.  Try good old classic Sperry Top-Siders or be socially conscious with a pair of Toms. $80, Sperry Top-Sider, sperrytopsider.com; $54, TOMS, toms.com

Smart sunglasses:
Look smarter than you are with Moscot Yukel glasses. Made of acetate and steel, they will stand up to all weather conditions.  I mean, Johnny Depp wears them. There’s really no one better to emulate (and the chicks dig him!). $225, Moscot Originals, moscot.com

Chambray shirt:  This shirt is the perfect summer-to-fall closet stable.  It is perfect alone with the sleeves rolled up or under a v-neck sweater.  Just make sure if you are wearing jeans, they are a MUCH darker wash...matching denim is not something we here at Maxim suggest for a Style Guy, unless you are Billy Ray Cyrus circa ‘92, in which case, rock on.  Wear this updated gray version and look ever the modern man.  $128, J. Crew, jcrew.com

And there you have it. We did all the work for you, now it’s your job to stay stylish for at least another week or so.
