Today's "Dennis the Menace" is pretty weak.
He's the beloved star of a classic TV show, silly cartoon, feature film, and—most notably—a daily comic strip since 1951. Still, that doesn't excuse the neither-funny-nor-clever comment that perennial troublemaker Dennis Mitchell makes in today's comic. "Kid's best friend"? Really? Let's aim a little higher for tomorrow, people whose life work it is to write Dennis the Menace. OK? Thanks.
