MAD Magazine Debuts Paula Deen's Recipe for Deep-Fried Insulin

"What, me worry (about dying from diabetes)?"

In the 2012 edition of its annual tribute to the biggest dummies of the preceding year, MAD Magazine takes aim at country-fried—er, country-fied—TV chef Paula Deen, who famously admitted last January that she suffers from Type 2 diabetes.

It wasn't exactly a surprise to anyone who's read one of her recipes, but what made the revelation scandalous is that Deen's whole shtick is pushing "comfort food" meal ideas that are so unhealthy, they should be served with a defibrillator. So it was kind of gnarly when it turned out that she had been diagnosed with diabetes way back in 2009, and continued teaching degenerate couch potatoes how to eat themselves to death, just to make a buck. Oh, and just in case you didn't already want to see her choke on a stick of butter, Deen's admission coincided with the announcement that she'd secured a lucrative deal to endorse a diabetes medication. Classy!

MAD's parody features a fake recipe for Deen's very own deep-fried insulin—"The medicine you need and the taste you want!" The issue doesn't hit stands until December 18, but we've got an exclusive preview, below.
