Belize Named an Entire Island After DJ Khaled

They’ve found a major key to tourism.

Producer DJ Khaled might just be having the best year ever thanks to his Snapchat popularity — and now Belize has gone ahead and named an island after him. The tourism board referenced Khaled’s slogan “Major Key” when naming the island “Major Caye.” And in true Khaled fashion, Belize announced their latest initiative via Snapchat.

If you’re so #blessed to visit Major Caye, you’ll get to experience a tropical paradise —and you’oll probably also find Khaled in a hammock and on his jet ski, since Belize has offered Khaled a free trip to Major Caye.
