The Daily Heat Index: Taylor Swift and Lisa Kudrow Make a Great Duo

We watch some flames in slo-mo, the Man of Steel takes drone-form, and Cara Delevingne picks up another modeling gig.

Here’s your daily dose of what’s heating up the internet:

Smelly Cat 2.0

Maxim Hot 100 winner Taylor Swift may have brought down the house Wednesday night during her 1989 tour, but it was resident ‘friend’ Phoebe Buffay who stole the show. Always hilarious Lisa Kudrow joined the pop-star for a modern day take on her classic song, “Smelly Cat,” and made sure the track’s true message was conveyed. “You really have to feel the lyrics,” she told Swift. And she did just that, turning the coffee shop cat tune into a meow-sterpiece.

Oh, and Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were there too.

Burn, Baby, Burn

YouTube “stars” The Slow Mo Guys strike again with this jaw-dropping video of 6,000 matches lighting in one fell swoop. They sparked the matches in a bucket and slowed down the camera to 2,500 frames per second. The result? A high intensity, flaming explosion that you’ve got to see to believe.

Campaign Queen

Whether she’s going to continue pursuing this modeling thing or not there’s a clear demand for Cara Delevingne in the fashion industry. Saint Laurent tapped the Brit to front their latest ad campaign for YSL Beauty wearing nothing but a blazer and red lipstick. This is the sort of modeling we can get behind.

Superman Goes Full Drone

Zack Snyder dropped a cool $225 million to help 2013’s Man of Steel take flight, but Barry Craig’s custom Phantom 3 drone gives use the same thrill for a fraction of the cost. Look, up in the sky! It’s a bird … it’s a plan … it’s a — oh.
