placeholder title

What do you get the guy who has everything? If you’re the Russian buddies of Floyd Mayweather, you get him a tiger. A little female tiger from India that’s already got a moribund "I’ll never see the jungle” gaze in her eyes is the perfect gift.

Looking at Floyd with his new pet reminds one of another great boxer who once owned a big cat. When he was still rich, Mike Tyson kept a white Bengal tiger as a pet. They played basketball together. They growled at each other. They were generally in love until feeding the thing became too expensive. That's kind of what happens when you take in wild animals as pets. They get too expensive or too big or too dangerous to keep around and they're neglected, abused and discarded as they're owner moves on to the next shiny, interesting thing in their life.

But that's not going to happen here. Not with Floyd. And especially not if he takes our advice and gives her a name that reminds him of the one thing we know he'll always cherish. Perhaps Legal Tender the Tiger?
