Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ Brings Superhero Action to the Small Screen

We’re looking forward to screen time by Rosario Dawson and Deborah Ann Woll too.

When news broke in 2013 that Netflix would be picking up a minimum of four television series set in the Marvel universe, we couldn’t wait to see what they’d come up with. The teaser trailer for the first series, Daredevil, came out this morning — and it doesn’t disappoint.

The series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, a lawyer who was blinded as a child, but more than makes up for it with superhuman senses. He moonlights as Daredevil — a costumed crime fighter in a gritty Hell’s Kitchen — and the trailer promises plenty of dark action and ass-kicking. The series also stars action movie queen Rosario Dawson and

True Blood’s

Deborah Ann Woll.

It’ll be interesting to see how Netflix, which has more or less been churning out impeccable, critically-acclaimed original series, will handle transforming the superhero franchise from big-budget action flicks to a compelling television drama worthy of a binge-watch.
