Mila Kunis's production company Orchard Farm Productions has inked a development deal with NBC for a single-camera comedy about a husband who must adjust after his Russian in-laws move upstairs.
According to a Deadline report, The Russians Are Coming is "semi-autobiographical," but it's unclear whose real-life story is the source material. Kunis was born in Ukraine in 1983 and lived there for the first seven years of her life, when it was part of the Soviet Union. She moved to the U.S. as a child without knowing a word of English. The series will be written and co-executive produced by Sam Wolfson (FindingCarter, Jewtopia).
