Blake Griffin Finds Something Beautiful Between Jamal Crawford’s Legs

We know Blake Griffin can throw down with the best of them, but this is some next level shit.

Most of Clippers’ forward Blake Griffin’s top dunks have seen him posterizing the defender, sending some poor sap into Sportscenter Top Ten ignominy. It’s not often that we see Blake’s artistry in the open court. Usually he’s seen posterizing a defender (Hey there Serge Ibaka! How you doin’ Timfey Mosgov?) or a Kia. That’s why last night’s 117-101 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks was so satisfying. On a fast-break in the fourth quarter, Griffin was trailing Clips’ sixth man Jamal Crawford who tossed up an alley-oop — this is Lob City, after all — but rather than simply loft the ball to his hard-charging teammate, Crawford went between his legs, Griffin caught it on his ascent, and threw down a ferocious tomahawk that will no doubt be on an ESPN loop for weeks to come.

“They would rather see Blake dunk than me any time of the day so I just have to figure out the best way to get it to him,” said Crawford.

For his part, Griffin credited his teammate’s creativity. “”He didn’t even look back,” Griffin said. “He threw it a little low and it was close to the rim. It was a spur of the moment thing. Sometimes he does some things that are unbelievable. Besides all the flash, he’s been efficient for us.”

You know what though, words don’t do this play justice. Just watch and enjoy.
