Extreme Heat Causes Player to Hallucinate Snoopy, Then Pass Out at Australian Open

Good grief, Frank Dancevic!

Australia is in the midst of experiencing its worst heat wave on record, but that hasn’t stopped those gung-ho Aussies from going ahead with the Australian Open – well, until somebody collapses. Canadian tennis player Frank Dancevic claims that the 108-degree heat may have been responsible for the unexpected guest that appeared on Court Six yesterday right before he fainted mid-match.

“I was dizzy from the middle of the first set and then I saw Snoopy and I thought, ‘Wow, Snoopy, that’s weird,’ “ Dancevic told the Australian Press. “I couldn’t keep my balance anymore and I leaned over the fence and when I woke up people were all around me.”

Though Dancevic was able to return to the court, he went on to lose to France’s Benoit Pare in straight sets. We’re sure Snoopy applauded his effort regardless.
