Throwback Thursday: May 2007 – Roselyn Sanchez

Check out what we were up to in May of ’07. Don’t worry, we’ll leave out our middle school class picture.

Every week, we send someone stumbling into the dark Maxim archives to see what we were up to way back when. This week we’re going back to May of 2007, when Roselyn Sanchez was the toughest cop on the block, Jessica Alba was still on the market, and B.J. Novak was the king of The Office

Cover Girl: Roselyn Sanchez

Where You’ve Seen Her: Twelve years prior to Roselyn‘s sexy Maxim shoot, she arrived in the U.S. from San Juan, Puerto Rico, hoping to make it in Hollywood but without a strong command of English. By 2007 she not only spoke perfect English, she was starring in the hit CBS crime drama Without A Trace, playing the muy caliente officer Elena Delgado. Watching her kick ass alongside the equally beautiful Poppy Montgomery, all of a sudden we were pretty fixated on joining the NYPD. Alas, here we are. Sigh.

Where She Is Now: After the show ended in 2009 Roselyn jumped around the small screen, taking on various cameos in shows like Desperate Housewives, Rizzoli & Isles, and Royal Pains. These days, you can find the starlet on the new Lifetime drama Devious Maids, produced by Maxim‘s 2014 Woman of the Year, Eva Longoria

Featuring:

Into The Blue: Jessica Alba

Actress Jessica Alba has been a favorite of ours since she donned her first Maxim cover while starring in the show Dark Angel back in 2000. Three years later, the California beauty returned to her roots, appearing on our November 2003 cover, and was featured again in our Beach Watch column in this ’07 issue. Today she’s hotter than ever, and married to Cash Warren (with whom she has two kids) – and we can’t help but think that if we’d been a little more charming back then, things might have worked out between us. If you’re reading this, Jess, we will totally move out of our parents’ house for you! Call us!

24 Hours To Live: B.J. Novak

If you were around in the aughts and didn’t watch The Office, you were missing out – and B.J. Novak was a major part of what made the show so awesome. Playing Ryan Howard, an employee of Dunder Mifflin, the comedian continued to make us laugh until the series came to an end last year. Luckily, B.J. is totally still around. Aside from writing a book of short stories, next up for the actor is a leading role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, in theaters May 2.
