5 Things You May Have Missed

Keith Fenimore takes a lightning look at what's been trending this week. [Oct 13 - Oct 19]

A photo of a Russian plumber who has an uncanny resemblance to “House” star Hugh Laurie is being circulated around the web.  The man has never seen the star and can’t figure out why he’s being stared out when he walks down the street.
In an unforeseen twist, Hugh Laurie can’t figure out why he’s getting calls to snake people’s shitters.

“Project Eternity,” a fantasy role-playing game being created by Obsidian Entertainment, is the most funded game in the history of Kickstarter, raising over $3,500,000.
Two million of those dollars should be given back to the donors and put toward a socialization program for overly obsessed fantasy role-playing gamers in hopes they will one day meet a nice girl.

The live stream of Austrian Felix Baumgartner’s free-fall from space was a YouTube phenomenon.  The stunt broke an internet video record as the most watched live event ever.
It was so popular, there’s another jump being planned that will feature the Honey Boo-Boo clan.  Only this time the balloon will go even higher into the stratosphere so when they step off the platform they’ll float away from earth.  Now THAT would be “a giant leap for mankind!”

Quarterback Tom Brady was taunted via Twitter after losing to the Seattle Seahawks. Cornerback Richard Sherman tweeted a photo of himself and Brady with a thought bubble that read, “U mad Bro?”
As a comeback, Brady should have tweeted a pic of his Brazilian supermodel wife Gisele in a thong with a thought bubble that said, “What game?”

The very cute “Charlie bit my finger” kids, who went viral in 2007 with one of the most watched videos on YouTube, are back as stars of a new commercial for Ragu.
In other commercial news, Brad Pitt is starring in a new Channel No. 5 ad that is so bad that he may have no choice but to fill a bathtub full of Chanel No. 5 and drown his agent in it.

@imkeithfenimore and that's, as I see it, what's trending in social media this week!
