Jesus Christ, This Was The Funniest SNL Skit of the Year

Christoph Waltz gives the world "Djesus Uncrossed."

Django Unchained's Christoph Waltz hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend, and in addition to a superb sketch in which he played a retired pope attempting to live on a fixed income (how topical!), there was this gem, a teaser trailer for a fake movie called "Djesus Uncrossed."

Incorporating all the hallmarks of a classic Tarantino flick (blood, guts, and Samuel L. Jackson), the film bills itself as "the ultimate historical revenge fantasy," and features Waltz in the role of Djesus H. Christ, who has risen from the dead and "is preaching anything but forgiveness." Taran Killam nails it as Brad Pitt-playing-St. Peter, in a scene pulled directly from Inglourious Basterds, in which he commands a platoon of 11 Apostles to procure him 100 Roman scalps. You get the gist.

Apparently some people are all pissed off about this sketch, probably because they don't understand the concept of a parody. Which begs the question, why are they even watching the show in the first place? See the video below.
