Burger King and McDonald's have been in a worldwide battle for burger supremacy, but BK's new campaign sought to find places where fast food means a lamb that runs a 4-second 40-yard dash. Their film crew took the show on the road to Greenland, Thailand, and Romania and got together with dozens of villagers who never saw a hamburger in their lives. They sat them down face-to-burger–on one side a Burger King Whopper and a McDonald's Big Mac on the other. While some preferred the Big Mac and others had no preference, there was an overwhelming amount of people–Whopper Virgins–who preferred the King. While that sounds more of a marketing pitch than anything else, the filmmaker embeds the taste testing within a closer look at the peoples' homelands, how they live far away from the 24/7 commercials in media.
