It’s about time! When RIM launched the Bold 9000 last year we were awe-struck. It had 3G capabilities and the screen was huge and high-def. Wi-fi and wireless email were awesome, not to mention the 2MP camera, media player, and a kick-ass keyboard. This was all absolutely fantastic! If you were with AT&T. We were not. We were still stuck with the Curve, and a whole heinous heap of 2G. We waited. And we waited. At our lowest point we pondered the possibility that perhaps the betrayal of buying ourselves out of our T-Mobile contracts to sign with AT&T might be the only way to brave this most bitter of burdens.

As the seasons slipped by we were forced to bear blow after blow; Sprint put out the Tour, Verizon the Storm, then the Storm 2. Still, we were stuck in the past like Sam Beckett. Until now. Today, the first 3G phone on the T-Mobile network hits stores: The Bold 9700.
Complete with all the specifications of the Bold 9000, this sexy piece of cell phone tech trumps its predecessor with, among other things, a more huge and more high-def screen, a new optical trackpad to replace the fault-prone trackball, an advanced media player, up to twice the battery life, and a 3.2MP camera! We’ll be snapping shots across the city and sending them straight to Twitter!
