Getting promotional swag from movie studios usually means a baseball cap that'll sit on your monitor for two years, a T-shirt sized to fit the typical entertainment journalist (XXL), and a press kit that looks tantalizingly like a DVD. But every once in a while, you get something special. Warner Bros. has Speed Racer coming out this summer (oh, you hadn't heard?), and they are going all out. The other day we received this huge Speed Racer tool kit:

Thinking we finally had a place to keep our Tropic Thunder hat, we opened it up to find a plethora of Speed goodies.

A T-shirt (sized Large - nice), a large Speed Racer Hot Wheels car, a few smaller Hot Wheels cars, a couple of tiny LEGO men (oddly glued to the box), and a…spoiler?

This little car is called the Mach 6. That's right, the Mach 6. It's fairly common geek knowledge that Speed's car is called the Mach 5 (the T-shirt, which has a a giant "5" on the front of it, makes that point for the cheap seats), so this looks like a pretty major plot point revealed. At some point in the film, he obviously gets an upgrade—an upgrade that seems to consist of a Formula-1 style redesign and two massive buzz saws that protrude from the front grill.
Yes, buzz saws.
If that ruins the movie for you, sorry. But the inclusion of cars with buzz saws usually just makes us want to see something more.
