The Weirdest Pitch of the Day: Text Messaging for Scuba Divers

For every cool thing that gets posted here, there are 50 more lurking around the show floor spreading confusion everywhere they go. The...uh....thing you're looking at on my friend Matt's wrist is called the UDI, and it's meant to let divers send text messages. It's a safety device, and it actually sounds like it could be really handy if I didn't hate scuba diving so much. It would be nice to know I could send an "I'm drowning, LOL" text to my fellow divers so they could drag my sorry ass out of the drink. Weird? Yes. Useful? Not likely. Click the link below for a very creepy product shot that came on the press kit.
