The PlayStation 3 came into this world as a sort of laughingstock, afflicted with both the then unpopular Blu-ray infrastructure and the then unneeded high-definition capablities. Two years later, Blu-ray has won the media war with HD-DVD and more and more consumers are snatching up HDTVs. Sony spent much of their E3 presentation giving a sort of polite, "I told you so" and boasting how it's system is futureproof. With games like Resistance 2 and LittleBigPlanet, a new video download service, and a growing install base, it's hard to argue against them. With that said, the highlights:

GOD OF WAR III ANNOUNCEMENT We all knew it was coming, with rumors and speculation flying all over the Internet for the past 4 months. Sony confirmed the arrival of Kratos on the PlayStation 3 with a teaser trailer that didn't really show much. Nevertheless, expect the godkiller to arrive sometime between next summer and Christmas.
