MAG: Massive Action Game Just when you thought the show was over, Sony invited a developer from Zipper Interactive onto the stage to announce a new massive multiplayer game: MAG. The title is a placeholder (we're guessing it'll be slapped with a SOCOM emblem in the near future) but the gameplay sure speaks for itself: 256-player battles, eight-person squads, and character advancement and promotions. Me likey.

SONY'S PS3 MOVIE AND VIDEO DOWNLOAD SERVICE
Finally! WTF has taken Sony, who owns all of their own movies anyway, to get some downloadable flicks on the PSN? While it looks like the pricing structure mirrors the Xbox Live's service, you will have the ability to purchase and own forever copies of your favorite films. Even better, you can transfer the videos onto your PSP for viewing on-the-go. Major studios on board already include: Sony Pictures, Fox Film and Television, MGM Studios, Lionsgate, Warner, Disney, Paramount, Turner Entertainment and Funimation. The pricing structure is as follows:
> $1.99 per TV show
> $2.99 to $5.99 for movie rental
> $9.99 to 14.99 for movie purchases
Oh, and best of all, it's available TONIGHT! Of note were the comments Sony's head made of other unnamed persons in their media space: "We're not interested in filling up our stores with titles no one wants to play just so we can say we have the most." I'd call those fighting words.

RESISTANCE: RETRIBUTION It was only a matter of time before Sony brought their PS3 launch franchise over to the PSP. With the announcement of a third-person action game based in the world of Nathan Hale, gamers will have the option of kicking Chimera ass on the PS3 in Resistance 2 this year and/or on the PSP with Resistance: Retribution in Spring 2009.

DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Sony Online Entertainment treated E3 goers with a sneak peek at their upcoming massive multiplayer online game DC Universe Online. What we saw was pretty interesting, including the ability to create your own superhero or supervillain and fight alongside other famous superheroes like Batman, Superman, and Flash or supervillains like Lex Luthor and the Joker to complete missions.
