It was only a matter of time before 2K Sports shed some light on their initial announcement of The Bigs 2, the follow-up to their successful arcade baseball title. We just received notice that none other than Prince Fielder, the Milwaukee Brewers' hefty first baseman and expert yard-taker-outer, will somehow make an appearance on the game's box cover. Yes, all 268 pounds of him. The 24-year-old has more than 110 home runs, only 240 slams away from surpassing his equally gravity-disabled father Cecil Fielder, and is a superb choice to lead the new, slightly less loosey-goosey class of baseball hitters. But, call us jealous when someone 1.5-times the size of a regular human being has 2.9-times the normal amount of gut fat and is still considered one of the premiere "athletes" in their respective sport. We tried putting our editorial staff on the "Fielder Diet," but results have only yielded the need for wider office chairs and soundproof walls to deaden the loud farts.
The Bigs 2 will begin rounding the bases this summer.
