Welcome back to "Ask Jess, Dammit!"
Q: Jessica- I have enjoyed your columns and wanted to get some of your friendly advice. I have been out of a relationship that I was in for four years. I felt she was the one but I messed up and she left me. I have tried to be a friend with her but I've had no response except "Leave me alone" and "I never want to see you again." I just found out that she eloped "with someone she met over the Internet across the pond." I still feel like she is the one and want to get over her, so whats the best thing for me to end up doing?Jessica Chobot is a lifetime gamer and zombie slaughterer. Hey Jess. So I am a 25 year old male who is straight, formerly shy, funny, and moderately good looking (lets be honest), but I suffer from something called "I hang out with people that are way better looking than myself". And by that I mean guys and girls. This has been the case my entire life, but I do have a newly found confidence. Because of my previous shy (possibly scared) attitude towards everything, I have never made it past second base with the ladies. And that only happened one time (but nobody knows that...). It's not that I haven't wanted to, it's that the opportunity to go further just hasn't been there. Now that I'm older, I figure that everyone just assumes that I would know how to make the first move and that I would know what I am doing in bed...but I haven't the slightest of clues. It's only a matter of time before some awkward moment strikes and rumors spread about my lack of playing time. Any suggestions? Hope to hear from you soon.
