A good old-fashioned duel has commenced in the realm of virtual sports and it involves the recent unveiling of the next iteration of basketball games. Last week, 2K Sports unveiled their Kobe Bryant-laden covers and asked you to vote for your favorite. Today, EA Sports has shot back with their less-democratic, but equally intriguing cover athlete, none other than the Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard. (Or, if you're Charles Barkley, it's Dew White Howard.)

The 6'11" center's superpowers may not consist of single-handedly carrying his team to victory, but his play this season has elevated him to superstar status...and he's only 23-years-old. With his team down 2-1 in the Finals, the new Live cover boy controls the destiny of Magic fans and now EA Sports developers. C'mon Dew White!

NBA Live 10 is scheduled to hit store shelves this October.
