Did you like the GameBoy Castlevania epics with similarly strange titles? Lament of Innocence on PlayStation2 lets you play in glorious 3-Dwith none of the eyestrain! Here, the cursed Leon Belmont relinquishes his noble title (but, fortunately, not his dreamy hairstyle) to engage the enemy and rescue his fiancée from a vampires castle teeming with skeletons, ghouls, and demons. Armed with a multipurpose whip, holy water (it burns!), and a handy cross, axe, and knife, youll make the undead even deader in fast-paced, third-person action. Executing gravity-defying jumps and mean combos in the well-rendered environments is a piece of cake, though a longer game would have iced it for us.
