South Park’s vulgar kiddies may have raised the bad-taste bar, but they’ve got some competition with this hilariously crude offering. Developed by potty-fixated Brits, Conker stars a deceptively cuddly cartoon squirrel who lets loose with expletives and bodily fluids. Though the 3-D platform action is hardly unique, the level design certainly is: Among his adventures, Conker tosses corn nuggets to an opera-singing turd and hoses down flaming demons with his urine. While this willful offensiveness can get tiresome, a sharp pop-culture sensibility—including homages to A Clockwork Orange and The Matrix—provides much-needed grown-up yucks. But if this game doesn’t provoke serious debate in the U.S. Senate, we’ll be stunned.
