Can't tell Young Jeezy from Lil John? No matter. Even if you're no fan of the rap game, there's plenty of meaty beat down action in Icon. The object of the game is to build your record label one gonna-fuck-you-up ass-whooping at a time. Think of Icon as the superhero take on the rap world. Only these guys have super powers like "faster than a speeding ho with one broken heel!" and "able to smoke a blunt in one single huff!" There are some hinky game play issues here and there—some of the animation stutters and the blocking is more broken than our hearts were when Jennifer Garner married Ben Affleck. Overall, it's good to see EA trying to evolve the franchise (and we're happy EA finally realized we're old enough to listen to uncensored music tracks), but no doubt this game would have been booted off The White Rapper Show in the first round. Mos def.
