What's better than a game that lets you lord over your own personal football universe like an obsessive fanatic? Why, paying $20 for the privilege, naturally. In an effort to keep Madden mania to a dull roar, Sega dropped the price and beefed up the features of its football game this go-round. You'll find the usual smorgasbord of nit-picky franchise mode options, such as contract bargaining, drafting, downloadable rosters, free agency, etc. But the graphics and game play have been juiced up, too, with improved passing, a slightly tougher running game, and lots of combo-move action via manipulation of the right analog stick. You'll also get online head-to-head play so real you'll be waggling your foam end-zone distraction tube during field goal attempts
