Unless you've got a PC powerful enough to split the atom or calculate the odds of you getting an STD from a Denny's waitress, no doubt you missed out on last year's terrific F.E.A.R. Now, Xbox 360 owners get to feel the "F.E.A.R." with this good-looking port. The game's name is an acronym for…oh hell, who gives a mouse tit? This is a first-class survival horror/first-person shooter. The action seemed a bit too frantic at first — we blamed our lousy hand-eye coordination on a rogue batch of margaritas — until we got the hang of the game's "slo-mo" button, which helps make the one-versus-hordes battles much more manageable. The environs are standard issue warehouse/sewer/office, but once you see an enemy's head separated from his torso by your well-placed shotgun blast, all in glorious slow motion, you'll be saying, "I'm home, mama."
