Flipnic: Ultimate Pinball

Release Date:

Game Platform:
PlayStation 2
Star Rating:
★★★½
If you only play pinball when there's someone passed out on the Pac-Man table at the pizza place, you might not be ready for Flipnic. Unlike conventional pinball, the intricate maze of insane tables in this game has multiple sections connected by tubes, and you can only see, and play on, one large section at a time. One looks like a rainforest-themed restaurant, another is shiny and metallic like something out of 2001, while a third harkens back to the days of disco, complete with black lights and neon—minus the coke and sequins. You can even play mini-games like foosball and 1-on-1 basketball, as well as up the stakes in shit-talking multiplayer modes. Yeah, it’s still just a video game version of pinball, but at least it won't steal all of your quarters like the arcade version of My Little Pony.
