Hunter: The Reckoning

Don’t let the heavenly visuals fool you—the bloodsucker-infested Hunter: The Reckoning is a pixelated glimpse of hell. In this über-gory action-adventure, a quartet of do-gooders (comprising such logical candidates as bikers and rave chicks) exorcise the undead with almighty weaponry, dismembering their way through cemeteries, desecrated sanctuaries, and zombie hordes that rival any Oprah studio audience. Endlessly wading through a sea of sewer sludge isn’t the most refreshing affair, but the frenetic four-player mode is a scream—especially if a teammate gets too jittery on the trigger and roasts your rump with an errant flamethrower blast.
