Mario Tennis

Sometimes it’s hard to take Tennis serious when it’s played by babes in short skirts, but you should try watching it when it’s played by plumbers and dinosaurs. Mario Tennis takes all of the familiar popular Nintendo characters and reunites them on a tennis court of all places. As you might expect from a game in which you serve cross-court to a midget with a mushroom head, this isn’t a very realistic tennis game. The ball catches on fire, different power-ups appear that give your swings more zing, and your characters do circus-like moves to return volley. The gameplay is so addicting that you might just forget that there’s no chance of Venus Williams’ mini-skirt fluttering up in the wind.
