Though we disavow knowledge of having enjoyed any movie that features Tom Cruise’s well-conditioned hair as prominently as Mission: Impossible, we’re willing to admit this video game ain’t bad. Playing as Ethan Hunt, your mission—if you choose to shell out 50 bucks for it—is to infiltrate sexy international locations, starting with the dictator’s palace in “Yugaria” (fucking Yugarians!). At your disposal is a passel of gadgetry, such as night vision, laser mike, sniper rifle, and the “wasp,” a tiny, flying, remote control camera. When technology fails, resort to old-fashioned neck-snapping and shadow hiding. While the tough, stealthy game play won’t grip you in a chokehold of novelty and surprise, it flashes a lethal look and feel. Now get to work—this review will self-destruct in five seconds.
