This baseball sim suffers from a chronic case of WhotheFuckIsThatitis. But if you can stomach the anonymous players playing hardball in anonymous stadiums, you'll find a very solid game here. You can play for big-time universities. Yes, even the ones you couldn't get admitted to—even though your father, grandfather, and great-grandfather went there, you dumb ass. The game's Create-A-Park feature gives new meaning to "if you build it, they will come." The new Rock and Fire pitching mechanic lets you throw the heat, not by traditional button presses, but by pulling back on the right analog stick, then pushing it forward. Giving a batter a little chin music never felt so natural and intuitive. Who cares if you have no idea who these poor bastards are who play for the game's 152 teams? Grab an aluminum bat and step into the cleats of Player Number 18.
