On the surface this is similar to most basketball games: Tap one button to pass and another to shoot, or use advanced combos to make any of more than 340 actual NBA pros pivot, alley-oop, and dunk. What distinguishes NBA Basketball 2000 from the pack is the acid-flashback instant replays, which set your high-flying heroics against kaleidoscope colors usually only found in Dennis Rodmans hair. Other cool simulated-TV-broadcast features are pregame analysis, play-by-play commentary, and a mock sports ticker to keep you posted on scores from around the league. The only foul were calling is the crowd is as blurry as a bad Monet. Otherwise its nothin but net.
