For the first time ever, trying to decide which of the two new puck sims to buy is a genuine toss-up. Seriously, just close your eyes and pick one. You can't go wrong. After floundering for years, EA Sports finally did chicken right. They built a new skating engine from scratch and smartened up the computer A.I. (Blowouts still happen, but not quite as often as they used to.) Use the left analog stick to determine your speed and momentum. Push forward for turbo, then let go to glide along on your blades. The ESPN-style seasoning is missing for some reason, and the A.I. cheats on you more often than your ex-wife did, but if you're one of the four people who's still a bona fide hockey fan, you're probably going to love this game.
