Tired of scraping your knees to shreds trying to keep up with those 12-year-old punks on the half-pipe? If so, maybe you should take the money earmarked for bandages and ointment and pour it into the best skateboarding video game ever, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.

Tony Hawk is often called the Michael Jordan of thrashing, and this game is no less perfect than his reputation. A skater’s dream, in this game anything and everything can be skated, grinded, and Ollied, while the soundtrack pumps out tunes from the Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, and Primus. Although the game has an air of realism, even the novice skater can pull off moves painlessly and with pizzazz. Within just minutes, you’ll be able to do killer tricks with much-deserved grand names like “Madonna” and “Jesus Christ.” Skate or die!
