007: Agent Under Fire

With no new Bond or Austin Powers movies on the horizon until next summer, secret agent fans are hereby instructed to lay their hands on this pixilated mission that’s at least as exciting as a baccarat game with George Lazenby. Agent lets you join Her Majesty’s Secret Service as 007 (who here looks like a cross between Connery and Brosnan) to take on arch-villain Malprave and his army of clones with a full array of Q-lab gadgets (grappling claw, lock pick) and a bazoomy assistant at your disposal. Game play alternates between first-person shooting levels and tooling around in your BMW Z8 or Aston Martin. At last you’ll infiltrate the secret lair, where you’ll discover…you’ve been playing a very standard-issue game.
