“Oh, no! I’m a sexy kung-fu babe stuck on a tropical island—what ever will I do? Plan an elaborate escape? Fight dangerous natives? No, silly, I’m going to play volleyball in an ass-floss bikini, that’s what.” In this bizarre amalgam of Barbie’s Malibu Beach House and ESPN2, you play as the female characters from Tecmo’s popular fighting game Dead or Alive 3—only now the chop-socky bunnies are more interested in spiking balls than kicking them. The sharp graphics and advanced jiggle physics will no doubt prick the interest of lonely gamers, but surprisingly, the game’s volleyball action is pretty solid. And that’s the most important thing…right?
