Delta Force: Black Hawk Down

Once you’ve been adequately briefed on modern desert warfare by Showdown: Iraq’s countless cavalcade of armchair generals, then it’s time to put your newfound knowledge to good use in a different, though no less hostile, barren outback. Black Hawk Down is no Battle of Baghdad, but its low-tech-versus-high-tech desert row is enough to give you flashbacks to recent CNN dispatches. While it would be impossible for the game to mimic the raw emotion and chaos that defined this mission-turned-disaster in real life, the graphics are the best we’ve seen on a battlefield. In fact, the only thing harder than getting your grunts out alive might be finding a PC with enough muscle to run the damn game.
